I was 38 at diagnosis now just turned 40. I also had two kids before 30 and breast feed two babies, guess that didn't help my odds like they say. I sure hope someone figures this out so we can stop this. I hope your speech went well, HUGS Monique

Basically, I thought this whole post was for anyone under 40 but you know some of us are still pre or peri menapausal even after 50. I was 53 when diagnosed and surgery after turning 54 and still having those monthlys a year later. Planning LAVH/BSO yet but taking forever to get the appointments I need and then to finally after all that next month, need to get them all to decide on a date. This has taken forever!!!!! that now I will wait til after the holidays!!!! Stress, anguish!!! I have a strong family history of BC and OVCA and no one tested but me. I was uninformative negative and have 3 daughters!!! My two oldest daughters are in their 30s and are just starting to have these discussions with their doctors and the oldest (35) had her first mammogram. These were all hard decisions for me and I wouldn't want my daughters having to make them!!!!

It was suspected when I was 47. Five days before my birthday and then five days after my 48th birthday it was confirmed. Happy birthday to me. Still looking for a returns department to return my "gift". I am now 49.

So I was 53 when diagnosed. I had lost my Mother 17 mos before, had a grandmother, great grandmother, an aunt with BC, 2 aunts with OVC, 2 1st cousins with BC. I still was regular with my periods when diagosed. It is scary with every age but I know worry about daughters and granddaughters!!!
