Meds and programs for assistance - Thursday, November 05, 2009 12:14 PM
Another member provided this website, www.needymeds.org.

Don't let the name deter you!!  I've looked at the site and there are several programs for assistance aside from prescription.  One can search by state, by disease, look for discounts or coupons for drugs, and search for government and state sponsored programs.

Be creative in your search - as programs listed by state differ from those listed by disease.  For example, searching by specific disease provides names of national programs whereas searching by state only lists state and local services.

Hope this information is helpful to someone.
