Re:Antineoplastons-What if there is already a cure? - Tuesday, November 08, 2011 1:04 AM
Hi Ann,

I care about people.  I care if they are informed.  That is why I posted a simple documentary so that people could do their own research.  What I chose is not important.  No one is going to receive a treatment just because I said I received it.  I did not post the documentary to push it on anyone or to brag about my success or to cry over my defeat.  The person I told that I did not care what treatment she received has been hostile toward me for no reason.  She made a lot of assumptions.  I was wrong to believe that the Susan G. Komen Foundation is really open to advancement in cancer treatments.  It is sad because I thought that was the main thrust of the movement, my bad.  This site reminds me how closed minded and naive people can be.  That says to me that people don't really believe there will ever be a cure for cancer, so guess what...there won't be... for them.  Ann, I hope you at least watched the documentary before you wrote me and became totally off purpose with my purpose.  My point here is that people need to do their own research and not rely totally on what has been the norm.   The norm is not considered advancement as a matter of fact the treatments today are as old as the 1980's.  There is something wrong with that and many people share my thoughts on this issue however I am also not seeking agreement, just open mindedness.  Why is it some people on this site can not just look at the documentary and then decide how "they" feel about it.  It is just information, that is all and it seems to have ruffled feathers.  I am a survivor of cancer.  Cancer runs in my family.  I have children.  I do not want my children to suffer should they develop cancer.  I do not want my children poisoned with chemo or radiation.  Pharmaceuticals should have made more advancement in treatments by now.  They have the money and the intelligence.  People with cancer is a cash cow for those companies and the oncologist.  What would happen to them if the answer was as simple as what the documentary talks about.  It would put them out of a job and seriously reduce the monopoly they have on treatment which would seriously reduce their net worth...$$$$.  As a nurse I work only with medically fragile children.  Most have brain cancer, Dr. Burzynski represents more hope than these children and their parents have had since their diagnosis.   I just wanted to share with the members on this site the same hope we have.   Not to push it on anyone but to offer the news that the cure may not be found in developing stronger poisons.  I personally believe the cure will be found in gene and stem cell therapies.    While I am not trying to convince you of this or anyone else on this site, I am going to continue passing this information along for the future of our children.  We need to demand better cancer treatments.  Barriers were never broken by doing nothing and accepting things as they are.   The Woman's Suffrage Movement, Martin Luther King, Occupying Wall Street, just to name a few groups of people who had enough and were brave enough to do the right thing for people like you and me.  So Ann, there you have it, more of a story than what I thought I would have to share.  A simple "thank you Dana for sharing the documentary" should have been the response to my post.  Not requesting an explanation for why I posted it.  Damn!  it is just to share information!!  Get it!  Hey...god bless you and everyone else on this site.   While I am a member, I will not answer anymore messages about my post.  You people just need to watch the movie and decide for yourself....it's interesting stuff!   :-Dana

Danah, Good job posting this message. I saw this video about two days ago on Netflixx and was absolutely amazed at what a hand big Pharma and the FDA has over our health. I have a degree in Holistic Health. Not that it should add credibility but in my experience people are soooo skeptical and willing to believe a lot of b.s. Not to be too political but watch Atlas Shrugged and compare it to this stuff. Ron Paul has my vote since he wants to reverse this stuff.

I am familiar with the claims of the good doctor you refer to. He has been around for a long time. The reason he is not taken seriously by the big "conspirators" is that he has been unable to duplicate his findings with any authenticity despite what he says.

Several years ago a lab at a state university announced they had produced "cold fusion". This was a miracle breakthrough. The press was all over the story and there was great and continuous coverage for a few days. It only subsided when the two "gentlemen" making the claims refused to come forward and back any of them or even allow anyone into their lab. Do we have "cold fusion" today? No! Recently some others claimed that they proved that Einstein's theory regarding matter was false. The only thing lacking was proof. It was their word only that was provided.

Are you a cancer survivor? If so, what sort of treatment did you receive? Would you subject yourself or one of your children to an unproven method over traditional treatment?

Dear Dana, Your message touched me because I now know of many Alternative Non-Toxic Cancer Treatments that people are having a better success rate with than normal orthodox mainstream medicine. I have known about Burzynski's Antineoplastons for over 4 years. The reason I know about Alternative Non-Toxic Cancer Treatments that work is because I lost my kid sister to breast cancer and could not understand why someone so young and fit got this disease, but more importantly why did her health get worse after each bout of treatment? Chemotherapy has at the most a 3% success rate, which means a 97% failure rate. It was by accident that I fell upon this ladies story: Elonna McKibbon was diagnosed on October 16, 1989, with a "Glioblastoma Multiforme" (GBM), a nervous system cancer or brain tumor -- Stage IV. GBMs are rare and always fatal. Survival time is between 3 and 6 months and she was told that she would not survive long enough to see her children's first birthday. Elonna McKibbon got a lot of TV coverage at the time she was diagnosed because she was pregnant with quintuplets. With time running out she turned to an Alternative Non-Toxic Cancer Treatment and she is still here today. Google her name and read her story and she has a telephone number that you can contact her on. By the way it was not Burzynski's Antineoplastin's. This Non-Toxic Cancer Treatment has been around since 1929. For those of you reading this will probably say exactly what Elonna mentions in her story, "surely if there was a treatment they would not let all these people, children continue to die". You may find this hard to believe, but I have done nothing but research the cancer industry since the death of my sister 4 years ago and many of the Alternative Non-Toxic Cancer Treatments that are out there, and I can honestly say if diagnosed I would not go down the orthodox mainstream medicine route, why?, there's only a 3% chance that it will work. Here's another reason, and there are many, Ninety per cent (90%) of all oncologists when asked stated they would not let themselves or their family members go down the route of radiation, chemotherapy or hormone blocking drugs. Go to www.Drday.com another doctor who when diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and had a lumpectomy of a small tumor. But the tumor recurred, became very aggressive and grew rapidly. Yet this DOCTOR rejected mainstream orthodox medicine because of their destructive side effects and because those therapies often lead to death (her words). Dana, you did right, some people will take that information and do their own research and they will still be on this planet many years from now. If you have cancer and ask your doctor about Alternative Non-Toxic Cancer Treatments they will not know about them. If they do know about any sort of Alternative Non-Toxic cancer treatment they are forbidden to inform you about them, because many doctors have had their licenses provoked for promoting Alternative treatments. They are in the business of medicine, they want to sell you treatments, that is how they get paid. Cancer is 170 billion dollar industry rising to 200 billion by the year 2020. What does that tell you? Did you know In the early 1900's 1 out of 20 people would get cancer in a lifetime. In the 1950's it was 1 out of 15 In the 70's when President Nixon declared war on Cancer, it was 1 out of 10. Today, sad but true, 1 out of 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The question is why? Answer, it a multi billion dollar industry. Conventional medicine has hardly improved in its ability to CURE cancer since the 1950s. You may of heard that most cancers if caught early enough are curable. What the public are not being told, even with all our modern diagnostics, cancers are NOT caught early most of the time. Did you know that 75% of all cancer patients in the US have metastasized cancer when first diagnosed. Metastasized cancer is when the cancer has already spread from its original starting place. Once the cancer has spread past its starting point, a person's chance of survival from conventional medicine goes down to almost zero. I could go on, but it's not until you have personally seen someone you love dearly deteriorate in front of your own eyes. Carole was continually fighting for her life for 3 years. You see, she had two young children, she had everything to live for, that's why her 3 years of treatment, the pain, vomiting, loss of hair, unable to speak or hold her water, her skin burned so much with the radiation, she could not be touched. Continually pumped with poisons until her young body could take no more. Then a doctor states she cannot take anymore, take her home, make her as comfortable as you can she's going to die. That's when you realize there has to be a better way. And there is, that I know now for sure..... Kudos to you Dana, we need more people like you to at least share information like you did because it will save peoples lives, someone down the road will thank you for this information. Michele

Danah,

First of all, I want to tell you where I am coming from. When anyone tries to convince me of something and all they have is a "conspiracy" theory as "proof" I get turned off right away. No offense.

I hope this never happens, but it you or your child ever gets cancer that would be the time for you to "put your money where your mouth is", as they say. You would be free to make a choice for yourself. But do not drag an innocent minor into it. You might wind up doing serious prison time.

I live in Oregon where a group of religious fanatics that do not believe in doctors, hospitals or medicine allow their own children to die needlessly while they sit and pray. They have finally been called to account for not protecting a minor child and have gone to prison for their neglect.

Even ads for "Cancer Treatment Centers of America" carry a caveat that we "should not expect the same results" as they imply in their ads. How's that for a dodge??????? They feature people with very hard to treat cancers and after all is said and done along comes the crawl at the bottom of the screen.

Alternative treatment gurus are not required to back up any of their claims and the only agency there to protect the public is the FDA.

NN I chose to ignore this, but would like a link to the statement of the stats of chemo only being 3% sucessful and would query that number and where it came from!

Re:Antineoplastons-What if there is already a cure? - Thursday, September 27, 2012 2:01 PM
I used to say "I lost my kid sister to breast cancer". Now I say "i lost my sister to chemotherapy" I watched her deteriorate over a 3 year period, it is criminal. Lastly, if chemo was an effective treatment for cancer why when diagnosed do people automatically think there going to die? Most people do die from this disease because the treatment does not work. What I have learned out of that is chemotherapy does little to people with cancer other than, eventually kill them. If you conduct major research into this you will find the correct answers in relation to this cancer world in which we live. I have posted just two pieces of information about the success rate of chemotherapy. This is a 170 billion dollar industry rising to 200 billion dollar by 2020. Yes, I used to be of the same mindset i.e. "if there was really a cure out there would the govt continue to let people die". Well it continues and I have spoken to many people who names I can give you, stage 4 cancer and Oncologists informing them that there is nothing else that they can do for them. They turned to an alternative non-toxic treatment and are still here today. Oh by the way no cancer in their body. We found out about alternative treatments to late. It took to long for me to realize that after every bout of chemo my sister was getting worse and this treatment was just not doing it. I will never go down the chemo/rad route, I have read to much about this in the past 4 years to even contemplate it. Do your research, do your research. Alternative Non-Toxic treatments, over 40 of them and they have a 90% success rate. Lastly, if chemo was an effective treatment for cancer why when diagnosed do people automatically think there going to die? Because most people do. Do your research and save yourself from this disease. The contribution of cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adult malignancies. Morgan G, Ward R, Barton M. Source Department of Radiation Oncology, Northern Sydney Cancer Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, NSW, Australia. gmorgan1@bigpond.net.au Abstract AIMS: The debate on the funding and availability of cytotoxic drugs raises questions about the contribution of curative or adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to survival in adult cancer patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We undertook a literature search for randomised clinical trials reporting a 5-year survival benefit attributable solely to cytotoxic chemotherapy in adult malignancies. The total number of newly diagnosed cancer patients for 22 major adult malignancies was determined from cancer registry data in Australia and from the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results data in the USA for 1998. For each malignancy, the absolute number to benefit was the product of (a) the total number of persons with that malignancy; (b) the proportion or subgroup(s) of that malignancy showing a benefit; and (c) the percentage increase in 5-year survival due solely to cytotoxic chemotherapy. The overall contribution was the sum total of the absolute numbers showing a 5-year survival benefit expressed as a percentage of the total number for the 22 malignancies. RESULTS: The overall contribution of curative and adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adults was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1% in the USA. CONCLUSION: As the 5-year relative survival rate for cancer in Australia is now over 60%, it is clear that cytotoxic chemotherapy only makes a minor contribution to cancer survival. To justify the continued funding and availability of drugs used in cytotoxic chemotherapy, a rigorous evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and impact on quality of life is urgently required. Comment in The contribution of cytotoxic chemotherapy to the management of cancer. [Clin Oncol (R Coll Radiol). 2005] PMID: 15630849 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE] Publication Types, MeSH Terms LinkOut - more resources The success rate of chemotherapy = 2.1% … huh?? Posted by Brad Weeks, MD on January 19, 2009 Tragically, the five year survival rate for cancer treated with chemotherapy drugs has remained virtually unchanged for decades. More tragically, that fact is not told to patients by oncologists offering “the standard of care” regarding oncologists in Southern California which concluded that 90% of oncologists would NOT take the protocols they prescribe patients were they themselves to get cancer.”) FACT: approximately 2% of all cancers respond to chemotherapy. FACT: Chemotherapy as commonly prescribed hurts more than it help. OPINION: “The overall contribution of curative and adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adults was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1% in the USA . . . chemotherapy only makes a minor contribution to cancer survival. To justify the continued funding and availability of drugs used in cytotoxic chemotherapy, a rigorous evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and impact on quality of life is urgently required.”
