I am always sad to hear about someone who lost the battle. Today I heard from a childhood friend who was diagnosed with a recurrence 5 years after her first diagnosis. We always hope for a cure even though it seems so elusive. My friend was monitored closely every 6 months and still the new tumor was missed despite mammograms and MRI's. I hope Deborah was able to enjoy a relatively good quality of life despite her setbacks. Best wishes to you and your family. You have suffered a great loss.
Lumpectomy 4/14/05 at age 69 Stage 1, 2cm, Node Negative Grade 3, Triple Negative AC/Taxol, Radiation, BRCA2 positive (It's always something!) No Family History
