Hi Tricia, It was a nice birthday party. We were all kind a of quiet though. Everyone is still catching up from Halloween. The kids all played together and the babies showed their new developmental skills. The girls are at the cutest stage. They are just like baby dolls. One looks like she will have redish hair like her mother and one has light brown hair like her father. They were playing together and would hold hands as they lay on the floor. My doctor did give me two ointments to use to see if they help while we are waiting for the biopsy to come back. I think they are helping and that is good news. Hope you had a relaxing day. Warmly, Sadie

Oh God Judy my heart goes out to you in reading your message and your plea. I'm not sure what to suggest but am hoping the Stanford Dr is wrong in his assumptions although he'd hardly just guess at something like that. I can't recall if he's the Gyno or onc?? Don't trouble yourself replying as I can check with Rena. Assuming he's the Gyno I'd be inclined to go with what my onc thinks is best, however, even with such bad news we need to deal with facts and if this Dr is correct he may be concerned that surgery may cause more spread. (it has been known to happen). If they're not going to operate then it's imperative they make you more comfortable than you are as no one should be left like this. Possibly Ann B if she's reading may have some concrete suggestions as I know she has a lot of experience in working with cancer patients and pain management. Ann??? Maybe Mel or Min can insist these Dr's do something for you fast as I really don't think you're strong enough while in this pain to fight your corner and you need an advocate. Judy I wish I had more comfort/advice for you but until we know more it's tough to second guess this or know whats for the best. It may be an idea to ask to be referred to a pain management specialist while awaiting this treatment whatever that may be. If there has been spread, radiation to the area should give some quick relief and as Kay has been down this road she may have more advice to offer on this than I. Sweetie, you've been so strong for weeks enduring this but I do think having Mel call and get tough may bring some quicker results for you. ((((((((hugs))))))))

Judy, My heart is breaking reading about all the pain you are going through. I wish I could make it go away for you. I sure hope they do something to help you soon. Gang, I've recovered from having 5 teenagers in the house this weekend. My daughter had a birthday party this weekend. The girls stayed up till 4:00 a.m. laughed, and laughed and just had a plain old good time. I took them to Zap Zone (a laser tag place) and then Fazoli's for dinner (cheap dinner when paying for 6) then it was off to the movies to see High School Musical 3. I was kinda of lost some because I didn't watch any of the other ones. Jill and Rose, have you gotten together yet. If so, hope you had a great time. to all the rest, have a great rest of the week. Should be a busy one for me. LOVE, LAUGH AND LIVE WELL LADIES. Love Becky

Hi--Tricia, I got your email and have responded privately. It breaks my heart, Judy, to hear that you are in such discomfort. It is very difficult to make suggestions long distance but you do need pain management. Has anyone suggested that you be admitted to the hospital for pain management because, it seems to me, that your pain has gotten out of hand and at this point needs something IV to get it under control. I am by no means suggesting that you should not continue with treatment but inorder to withstand the treatment you cannot be debilitated by pain. I understand you were given morphine by mouth but it made you vomit. Did anyone suggest phenergan or compazine suppositories to counteract the nausea? That is the other advantage of being admitted to the hospital for a short time--they can give you pain management along with nausea management. I hope you reach some level of comfort and know that there are those of us far away who want only the best for you and are part of the team cheering for you. Ann B.
Ann B. 12/89--Lumptectomy of left breast for 2 sites of DCIS followed by radiation and 5 years of tamoxifen. ER/PR + 12/2002--Mastectomy of Left breast for recurrence. Nodes negative. ER/PR+ Her2-. Arimidex.

Judy, I have just arrived on siesta Key and have to go shopping for groceries for the week but stopped here to check. I don't get this new forum but I am trying to at least send you a message. You are in my heart and I am PRAYING lots for you!!! Let us listen, talk to us when you can, let God help and draw from your families LOVE> Judy-- Have they tried anything new for pain? Also, please connect with a pallitive care team at your clinics, hospital -- they can help with chronic pain. We are here to hold you up!!! LOve Ya!!!! Rose Jill-- will give you a call later tonight but if I miss you or poop out, will call you tomorrow evening. I am truly worried about my friend that I just came back from seeing. Looking forward to meeting you for lunch or early dinner this week. You don't need to take a day off, we can work around your schedule. To everyone else, I have been saying a prayer for you also on my daily walks. Now what is up with this new board? I am at a little pharmacy/general store and I won't have hours to sit and figure it out and get frustrated. Even at $2.00 for every 15 minutes. Rose (in Siesta Key on vacation)

Rose, good to hear you arrived okay and I hope you enjoy your time with Jill. I also suggested pain relief for Judy and hope her Dr's get some answer's and act on this fast . The change on the forums has led to a lot of mostly angry and confused threads on sound off. I have found my way around it but it really does take longer to do everything which is a nuisance! Enjoy the rest of your trip! Sadie, those babies sound adorable and they'll get cuter the older they get! Glad the party went well even if everyone was a little subdued after Halloween! Becky, sounds like you all had fun which is what it's all about!

Judy dear, I agree with Ann...you need a pain plan. Something delivered thru an IV. There is no sense you being in so much pain and vomiting. A shot of compazine should help! We need to get you feeling more in control and then we can discuss any treatment for the rectum and bladder area. It's all doable.... For now, we have to get your system regulated...please ask for help from the pain management team! You are in my prayers!!! Kay

Dear Judy, I along with your sisters here agree that you need to ask about a pain plan at your hospital or cancer center. I would talk this over, or have someone do it on your behalf, with your favorite doctor regardless of their specialty. Helping hands must be near just try and put the feelers out or let others do for you. Blessings,Gail
