Hi y'all! Just poppin in to say new pics have been added to the hair regrowth post. Shows 3 years, 3 months post chemo growth. It's not quite "Mission Accomplished" yet, but very, very close. I was the same way. And then I went through that phase that I called my "Senior Citizen 'Do"...yeah...the insulation too. My radiation was in the winter & even with a coat & scarves & head cover, I was still just COLD without hair. I never thought about painting...but my head was never perfectly smooth...some of my stubbles just grew & grew durin the chemo. Was weird. Looked like a baby bird head. LOL!

The worst part of no hair for me was how much colder I felt without hair even with something on my head all the time! I didn't realize how much insulation your hair provides until I had no hair during the unusually cold winter we had then.

I'm still a bit miffed that hubby nixed my getting my bare head facepainted. I thought that'd be fun, but he said nuh-UH. Seemed like such a waste having a boringly bare head when you could do all kinds of creative designs on your very own "crown canvas." < sassy grin >

Hi Andi! YAY for havin hair again! It really is exciting to see the hair growin back. At this stage, it seemed like it changed every single day, like I could almost SEE the hair growin. And congratulations on finishin chemo!! =) xx

I did recently add a couple more pics from this May to the post. Probably won't update it again till I can say "Mission Accomplished". I'm thinkin that will be in December...which will be 3 years post chemo.

Hi Kimberly, I decided to reread your blog again tonight. I'm a month and a half from last chemo and I wanted to compare what hair I have now to what you had around the same time. So glad to see that I'm right on target, lol. I have salt & pepper fuzz covering my entire head now, and my eyelashes and eyebrows are coming in. I'm so excited to have some hair again!

Yeah, I found doin those posts & takin pictures was just as therapeutic for me as it has been for others. I'm 2 years & 4 months out from last chemo. And finally likin how I look again. Great blog! I loved looking at all of your photos and seeing how my journey back from "the bald" is progressing in comparison to you. I've been posting weekly photos (www.chiagal.com) of my hair since about 8 weeks post chemo...and it helps so much to see that my hair is actually growing.
