Here's a link to their website: http://www.avonwalk.org/ They have great numbers in terms of how much of each dollar raised is spent on programs. No reason to engage in conversation about abortions, despite the vitriolic efforts of so many. Abortion issues are irrelevant to whether Komen should provide grants to organizations that advance its' stated mission to stamp out breast cancer. My breasts don't care about my uterus' politics.

Re:Donations to SGK (spin1584)

I just wanted to let the people involved with the Susan G Komen for the Cure organization know that I think they are doing a wonderful job and I whole heartedly support their decision to reduce funding for Planned Parenthood. I look forward to joining my local Race for the Cure this year and many years to come. Furthermore it saddens me to read all the hate filled comments here toward an organization that has done so much good for women throughout the world. I will do everything I can to raise money to make up for whatever losses you may have from donors that feel the abortion of female babies is more important than finding a cure for breast cancer.

Re:Donations to SGK (beeg)

No problem. You can go to the Charity Navigator to look up similar organizations. You'll even find some that score higher on the rating scale than SGK. I found a couple of interesting ones that I'll give you the links to but definitely do your own research. National Breast Cancer Foundation (programs for early detection, education and support. Higher scores than SGK on charity navigator) http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/About-NBCF/ National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund http://www.breastcancerdeadline2020.org/about/
