This last round has been the most difficult so far. I thought the third round was tough but all of a sudden none of my meds for the nausea seemed not to work - and I started take them right on time.  My mouth tasted horribly as well and even drinking water was a chore.  I hope the following days and weeks to come post chemo get better.  I've never felt so sick or so alone during this time ( I live alone).  

I did try to call my onco and nurse and they recommended ginger or lemon candies but didn't have those. 

Did anyone else have worse "new symptoms" as they went along. I feel like I am just trying to catch up and keep one at bay when another one pops up.  It's almost better just to sleep through the days and avoid all the pain and unpleasantness.

I honestly don't know if I could ever do this again....and hope I don't have to.

I'm sorry this round has been so tough on you and surprised your onc did'nt offer to give you different anti nausea meds to help, some chemo's build up in your system so this may explain why this one is hitting you harder than others.
 
You will begin to feel better as the days and weeks go by and can feel amazingly proud of yourself for having finished so many congrats to you on that!!!

Diag. Oct 2003 with 6mm mass, IDC grade III ductal carcinoma in-situ, Inflammatory Breast Cancer stage IIIB, Her2+++.   I had A/C followed by Taxotere (only had 2tx as I had heart problems from it); Left Mastectomy followed by 35 rads.  Recurence in 9 months as skin mets to mast. site. tx Carboplatin/Herceptin,  stayed on Herceptin every other week for almost 4 years only stopping when my ejection fraction would get too low. off herceptin & ned 3 years in 2010

I just finished my fourth and final treatment and this by far has been the worst, sounds weird glad I'm not alone.

My chemos seemed to get worse at least the first 4 which were different drugs than my last 12....as they say this too shall pass and you will start feeling better soon I hope... in the meantime...pat yourself on the back you did it, you are finished, what an accomplishment....and alone ( I understand that as most of my time was just with my son who was 19 and husband was away in another country for much of my treatment). Be proud sister..you are a hero!!

50 yrs, Rt breast lump found 4/12/09 during shower. 5/7/09 Organs, bones & head clean. 5/8/09Bilateral Mastectomy/ skin sparing surgery, implantation of skin expanders, removal 3 lymph nodes,one pos., tumors 1.5 cms x 0.8 cms & 0.8 cms x 1 cm, one tumor surprise, hidden. DX:Mixed Lobular and ductal adenoca. rt breast with badly defined borders.
Est. Pos. nuc. ( +/+++) Prog pos. nuc. intense ( +++/+++) Her2- non-amplified, KI-67 pos. less than 30%
