New Support AGAIN!!
-
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 1:07 PM
Hello Ladies, I have been gone for a while as I have been taking care of my sick MOM. She has had a host of problems including a heart attack and since I am an only child (I do have a handicapped Brother) I have been dealing with all of these issues emotionally, financially and physically alone (oops I cannot forget I have the most wonderful and supportive husband) but the burden is on me to provide for both households. Any way I have been trying to enjoy the planning of my daughters wedding (wow only a couple of week away) and of course wanting to get in shape so I have been taking hot yoga, working out at the gym but I have this nagging pain in my upper back, really on the backside of my ribcage. It is really scaring me and I can feel it when I take a deep breath (but not all of the time). So today is my 6 month check up with the onc and I am scared to death that something is wrong. I did see my PCP and he said it was a muscle but I have had it since January and am so scared. Wouldn't it hurt all of the time is it was in my bones. I have been off my Femara for a year now (I could not tolerate it) so I feel like it would come back now....can you help me? Wouldn't I have pain when I was resting...and really it is more like a nagging pain I don't even take tylenol for it...wouldn't it hurt more.... Thank you all for letting me ramble...I am off to the ONC now so I will post later tonight.... Talk to you all soon....I really appreciate all of you but being part of the BC club of life really stinks....don't you think. Sue

Ladies Thank you....Well she said it is low risk but she MUST do the bone scan, it does appear to be a muscle pain but it has been too long (3 months) but a good sign was there was no tenderness to the area...either way I have to go....So in I go tomorrow...now I move to the waiting room. Thank you all please pray for me.... I will see you in the waiting room.

Hi Sue, Sorry for the worry and hope the bs is b9. I had sudden onset of bad back pain about 2 years ago, and the news was OLD age! Some osteoarthritis and a disc, and is well controlled with an injection here and there. It sounds muscular in nature since the pain increases with inspiration and subsides when you are laying down. Sending a (gentle) hug and hope you don't have to wait too long for results
