Hi Peggy, I'm sorry for the delay in replying to you but I had no internet connection the past few weeks which drove me crazy. I also get a lot of stiffness and joint pain but mine is due to Arimidex and getting older I think lol...do you take hormone therapy?? I found it did ease a little by taking Glucosamine/chondroitin daily too!

I'm very unfaithful on this board, sorry! But I am doing 'maintenance' treatment with Faslodex & zometa monthly and still working full time. My thyroid is worse than it used to be, but most of the synthetic meds give me side effects so I'm not taking anything for it right now. I noticed more joint/bone pain when I was on Femara. I was told frankly that my joints will hurt when I exercise even on Faslodex, but I need to to do it much more than I am! I had been faithfully doing the recumbent bike but got out of it when taking care of my hubby (he had a sudden blockage in an artery...something similar to what killed John Ritter a few years ago...very rare artery to block, only 100 cases, etc...2 surgeries in Sept and 3 weeks in hospital, and I'm just so glad he's survived it! Now we are both survivors of something! But he's still had chronic diarrhea since being released and losing weight...so I'm concerned about that and open for any tips, as "they" are still trying to figure out when he will 'firm up.' Whew...sorry so long!

Good to see you here Suz and to know you're hanging in there! I'm sure it's not easy. So sorry to hear about your husband -- thank God they were able to hep him. What more can I say? Sometimes there just aren't any words and I don't understand why we get blindsided, some of us more than others Ugh! I hope all goes well from here forward. Hug Elaine

Faslodex
-
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 8:58 PM
I started faslodex a month ago and got shots on day 1, day 15, and day 30 last Monday. Since those injections I've been in extreme pain in my left leg. I have metastasis in my pelvis, left femur, and lumbar spine. When I got the last 2 injections I had pain and soreness from the waist down but nothing like this. Last Thursday I could hardly put any weight on my leg and had to use crutches. Today I went to my oncologist and got an IV morphine injection. I'm already on Oxycontin 20mg two times a day, and Vicodin as needed. With this pain it's been every 4 hours, which isn't helping at all. The morphin helped minimally. I think now my sciatic nerve is irritated. I've had sciatica before cancer so it easily starts up. I was wondering if anyone else had this much pain with Faslodex. I'm really scared to get the next one. I had some pain in my left hip before the injection but nothing like this. I was getting around pretty well. I feel like I'm back to step one now bc I just got my right hip and pelvis straightened out enough to not need crutches and limp so bad. Thanks!
