Happy 4th everyone. Not celebrating today here!! Too hot. The temp is supposed to reach 104 today. No way am I sitting outside for anything!!! Fireworks have been cancelled around here because of the drought the above averages have brought. That's okay by me. I can watch them on TV. Everyone have a safe one.

Pat- glad you are all ok after Debby and hope no more this year!! I was looking at some of the pictures of Siesta Key, as that is where I go for a few weeks in November. Will be thinking of your daughter and hope she gets B9 results. Thanks for letting us know about Mary also. I know things have been rough for her for a while! Now her Mom getting worse. Mary~ just letting you know we are all thinking of you!! Rena, glad your daughter is on the mend. Tricia~ whoopie on 7 years and good results on your tests and non-smoking!! To everyone else I have missed, hoping your week is going ok and you are somewhere cool!! What a heat wave. No rain, grass is brown and hard, temps upper 90s and low 100s. Hoping it breaks soon and sorry to say but we sure need some rain!!!!! Air conditioning and fans on constant!! Plan to get away in 1 1/2 weeks to more Northern Wisconsin (Door County), they are a bit cooler too! Rose

Thank you, Rose, I did speak to Mary and she is better as Snowball and Don are doing much better! Her mom, however, she says, is failing and I know how that can be. It is heartbreaking to watch the woman who has been the pillar of strength for you go downhill, and my heart aches for them. As we are all oo aware, sometimes in life all you can do is pray. Tina, I am sorry about your 4th! You need to plan to visit Clearwater next year, plenty of water around here and the fireworks are visible from my back yard! My friend was here and her family came from Charleston. Her son has a 6 month old baby girl, what a TREAT to have a baby on the house again! We took her in the pool and played with her all day like a little doll...a huge pleasure for me. Elaine, hope all is going well at your place, kids are a lot of work and the best reward in life....sometimes.... LOL!

My joy was re-joining the leasure centre this week and I had my first aqua aerobics class last night which was exhausting and challenging but great fun, the other ladies are very friendly and the instructor had us laughing so much!:) The only drawback is that I used to swim forty lengths of front crawl after the class and last night struggled to do five so need to build up slowly, I ache today in all the places I want to tone up so I'm guessing this will work for me!!:) One lady I spoke to had lost over four stone for her sons wedding, looking forward to the next class tomorrow evening!

Tricia, that sounds like great fun as well, good for you! My sister downloaded the LOSE IT App on her phone and has lost 18 pounds, just by keeping track of calories entering her daily food and exercise!

Tricia, You are kicking some a$$, girl! 7 years, smoke free, AND swimming! Now if you give up your white wine, I might stop speaking to you, lol Laying low today. I take Tex hiking most every day in the state park along the White Clay Creek. We stop so he can fetch some sticks from the water. He Loves to swim. I went to grab a stick at the edge of the water and slipped on a huge rock, banging my back, And falling into the water. Yes, it might have been funny to see, but !*$%!Ouch!

Everyone still sleeping, so I have a minute :) Sharonma - OH NO! I'm so sorry you fell, but I think if I had been there my first reaction would have been to laugh, then I would have picked you up and taken care of you...... feel better fast. My back is not good.....thinking surgery is my only option, but will see doc on July 31st. Tricia - Good for you lady -- you're on a 'clean living' roll -- Sante! Oops, I hear the pitter patter of little feet :) Hug Elaine

Ouch Sharon that must have hurt and hope you feel better soon, giving up wine is a step too far Sharon lol, think its the wine thats putting the weight on so rather than give up I'm exercising !!:) Pat thats a great idea and may do that myself, my sis lost a lot too but with weightwatchers but I feel life's too short for weighing out my meals lol.. Elaine glad you're having fun with the grandies!:) ...... I was walking towards the supermarket earlier on the way out and just saw a very large black dog had escaped from where he was tied up outside and raced directly into the traffic, only then did I notice the little terrier attached to the other end of the lead who was being dragged along too. They ran into the grounds of the Leisure centre so I ran after them and although the terrier was far from trusting the big black one came right up to me so managed to get them back over the road and located their owner in the supermarket, my good deed for the day but if I had'nt been so worried for them I think I'd have laughed as it must have looked comical.:)
