  For those having surgery in the month of December, please  post here the date of surgery, type, if breast surgery~the type and if reconstruction~ what type also.  Please add anything else you would like to say.  This gives us a place to check on our fellow sisters having surgery to  wish you good vibes, say a prayer for you and your surgeon and just to support you!!!

I am scheduled for sentinel node biopsy, mastectomy with immedicate reconstruction surgery (LAT flap) on Thursday, December 8.  Since I already had LAT flap reconstruction on the right side in Feb 2009, that is what my PS recommended for the left side to obtain better symmetry (such a perfectionist, but I love it!).  I will be in the hospital overnight and will go home on Dec 9 as long as things are going okay and my nausea is under control.  The sentinel node biopsy is something I never had before and my GS warned me I would be peeing blue later in the day.  Good to know!
 
As the day gets closer, I am having more little "panic" attacks.  I have to keep calming myself down and do some deep breathing.  I see a counselor again on Thursday and then next Tuesday.  She has helped me with turning things around to get through this time.  I feel a big cry coming again in the next few days.  Just does not seem possible that I have to deal with this again after only 3 years.
 
But I am in the excellent hands of my GS and PS, so I know things will be okay.  Thanks always for the support from all my friends here on the message boards!

Hi I am having a BMX next Wednesday the 28th. Unfortunately I have high blood pressure so my PS said I could not have an immediate reconst. That makes me sad. I am freaking out and have not been able to sleep well since my BS gave me the date.
