Biopsy results today!!
-
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 11:54 AM
Hi everyone I here at home with the phone on my hand waiting for the phone call. Would they tell me over the phone?? I read a lot of posts saying that the surgeon called. I don't even remember my doctor's name (family doctor) I just meet her once and sent me to get mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy so I don't have close relationship with her. I would really want to know right now the waiting is horrible!!!!

If you don't hear from them and you were supposed to hear today, call them before the end of the day. Sometimes, you have to very pro-active to get answers. Waiting is the most difficult!! Hug Elaine

Hi I agree with Elaine to give them a call if you don't hear from them as I'm sure they'll understand you're anxious. I agree the waititng is torture and do hope its benign in your case.

Remember, you're sitting there, thinking about them and the results and you're all anxious, but they're not thinking about you, so definitely call. And, yes, they gave me my results over the phone. Good luck!

The waiting is the worst part. I know so many of us are left hanging waiting for that phone call. People make promises about calling when they should not. You have every right to call and get answers. The nurse usually plays coy and will not even divulge good news!

Hope you got good news! My surgeon never gives bad results on the phone.. An appt is made following the biopsy, and results in person. Requests for youo bring someone with you. Always a bad sign when she enters the room with a nurse. I know many here have gotten phone results. Every doc does it their own way. Wishing you a b9 report

I was given a choice when the biopsy was taken. The doctor asked me how I wanted the news, either way. I told him I would prefer a phone call as long as I could add my daughter on. For me, getting the results in my own home where I could break down if I needed to was better. (And I was expecting it to be cancer based on comments the surgeon made during my exam...) I hope you got an answer today, but also that someone was with you to take down the details...Joyce
