Good Morning All,
I had to laugh this morning when I read the posts about Weight Watchers.  When you abreviate it to WW, the first thing that came to mind was World War II.  I think that fits for me as I try to lose weight, its like fighting a war.

Hi Sadie and Ladies,

I found this website called nosurrenderbreastcancerhelp.com and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it and what their opinion was.

I found it to be very upbeat and more of a positive attitude, there are alot of Triple negative surviors over two years on this web site.

Rena...thanks for making me laugh. Everyone at school thought the story about the gorrillas was just too funny.

Hi All,
What are your schedules for MRI's and mamograms?  How often do you meet with your oncologist and radiologist  and/or surgeon after all the treatments are over.  I met with the surgeon Friday and she wants me to have a mamogram in October.  My radiologist says that usually one gets an MRI yearly.  I meet with the oncologist the end of April and see what his recommendation might be.
How do you all feel after all the treatments are over and no one is hovering over you?

Hi Claudette. I think we probably all have had that feeling of being out to sea without a paddle (is that a mixed metaphor?) after finishing treatment. Time will take care of that. It requires patience and a good dose of faith (religious or otherwise) to deal with this period. I think you will have plenty of good days, but don't be surprised if you have a bad day now and then. It's natural to feel worried. As you get back into a more normal life, I think you'll find yourself thinking about cancer less and less. Don't ever hesitate to come here to vent when you need to. Everyone here understands. As for follow-up tests, it seems that each oncologist has his or her own protocol. My cancer was such a long time ago, and they do things differently now. For the first few years, I had a yearly bone scan and chest x-ray and only additional tests if I had worrisome symptoms. Good luck, Claudette. I hope you'll enjoy your freedom from treatments! Love, Rena

Hi Claudette, Since my treatment ended I have been seeing the oncologist every three months and she has bloodwork done. I have had a mamogram and ultrasound in Sept. and then another last week. I was told in six months I will have a bilateral mamo and ultrasound (this last one was just on one boob). I have not had a breast MRI though my oncologist would like me to have one,. We are arguing with my insurance company right now about this. So, I guess I'm not sure what kind of schedule I will be on just yet. I also see a naturapath and he wants a more comprehensive blood work-up to include thyroid and cholestoral, etc.I'll probably have that this coming month. Once I get to the two year mark I think I will relax a bit more. My best to you, Gail

Hey there triple negative friends! I have sad news to share. I was diagnosed last week with CLL (Leukemia). I have so  many questions and one is what relationship is there to my being a triple neg gal. My onc says no relationship between these two cancers but I just don't believe that. Meanwhile I am rounding up a team to help me and am once again back making appoitnments for consultations. My best to you all, Gail
