Sharonma - love that you are finding joy in the snow with your skis and family :)  Yes, we're desperate for some rain here...the few drops we're getting aren't going to help much.

Me - Back to Palm Springs for a couple of days next week.  Very busy March and April....Vegas, Texas, Italy!  Taking Italian classes before my trip in hope of recognizing a few words at least :)

Crazy weather here on the east coast, and Midwest.  I hope you westies get the rain you need.  Scary thinking of how this drought will eventually affect the whole country in so many ways:(

Elaine, keep practicing this ..."vino"!   There is a pretty good google translation app you can download.  We found that English is widely spoken in major cities,.  really good restaurants and little places off the beaten path generally don't, or have someone on staff with picollo English !

Had yearly mamo and all is clear!  This was my first 3D and the radiologist wants me back in 6 months for another baseline.  I was told not to worry it is just routine......Unfortunately I had to start insulin this week for my diabetes. Hopefully it is just temporary.  But I feel great and am determined to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year. Hope you are all getting ready for spring!

Great news Annette! (Not about the insulin, and hope it will be temporary)

Hope everyone is well and getting through the last few weeks of winter (west coasters disregard)!

Had a wonderful day with a friend at the Philadelphia flower show, Articulture. I am in awe of such creativity!  The bonanza as we were leaving was a free wine&spirits tasting.  Yummy!

Congrats, Annette! Great news!

I hope that all my snowbound friends are doing all right in the mess on the east coast and the midwest. My sister lives in Highland Park, IL and just announced that they're thinking of moving to Southern California. She's never expressed that desire before, but I guess with both of them in their mid-70s, they want someplace easier to live. I hope they can make it happen.

All is well here. We spent a wonderful week in Palm Desert last week. While it was storming here, we had sunshine and 80 degrees every day. So, I got the rain I wanted--I just didn't have to be in it! As we drove home--it's about 400 miles--we went through various rain showers and saw two of the most amazing rainbows. I posted a photo of one of them on Facebook.

The countdown to my Ireland trip has begun now that March is here. I leave on March 27, arrive in Dublin on the 28th and meet Tricia on the 29th! I can't wait!

Love to all xo

I can't wait either Rena and have you marked on the calendar, not that we'd forget anyway lol!!  I sent Una over a small box of T shirts and badges and hair bands for St Paddys Day but Ian just called earlier to say Edinburgh don't have a parade at all and as he'll be in San Francisco with work commitments Una and Michiko will be spending the day with friends but Una will be all dressed up on the day and they'll take lots of photo's!:)

Tricia, be sure to post some photos of Una in her St Paddy's Day garb! She's so cute! I hope Ian enjoys his time in San Francisco. We'll be up there on Saturday to see Karen.
