Elaine and Jean - I print them out and tack them on the wall all around my desk.  I use different font and colors, and then I read them each day, think of all of you and feel blessed.  Some days...well, it really keeps my going.  The weather is beautiful here now, and I know that spring is truly right around the corner.

I get this from my mom.  She was always putting moving quotes on the inside of her kitchen cupboard doors.  She also wrote poetry that would touch my heart.  Our weather here is 60 today in mid-Michigan!  I have bought the things I need to make door wreaths and with the help of my neighbors grapevine, I intend to sit out on my porch tonight and enjoy the fresh air while I make them.

My joy today was the weather - I walked around town, and then cleaned up the garden a bit, planted some native seeds. After 5 straight days of rain I forgot what sunshine was!

One year ago today, I had the big surgery and officially became cancer free....

What's even cooler is that I don't feel like making a big deal of it.  I can quietly smile and enjoy this moment....

Ok, I've got one.  Tomorrow I'll catch up the other threads, since tired.   Long conversation tonight with a dear friend.  Suspected this but was not sure.  http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#!/photo.php?pid=776206&id=1600933228  is a new race car with the breast cancer awareness ribbon on the hood (hope link comes through).  They did it because of me.  Can you believe it??    Cried when knew they were planning it... just cuz it's so important.  Cried much more tonight when I understood intent.  All happy tears; I have such good friends.

Will go to race this summer and hope to get a ride at one point or another :)

Paula and Nancy you both had such an important day.  Congrats to you both!!

32 years ago today I gave birth to my first daughter Jasse.  She is a beautiful woman, loving wife and mother!  She has always been wise beyond her years.  I am proud to have her call me mom.  When I held her in my arms for the first time I remember thinking that "this is why my mom is the way she is".  What I learned that day in understanding of my own mother goes beyond what she could have ever told me!  Happy Birthday to us Jasse K!!!

I also gave birth 25 years ago to my first born son.  Happy Birthday Nick!!
It's so hard to believe how quickly that time passes, from baby to man, pouf ! like it was just yesterday that I started my life as Mom.
It's a beautiful warm sunny day.
Unfortunately my FIL took a turn for the worse last night, so the joy is tempered with sadness

Today is a joyful day for me in so many ways.  The sunny is shining and it is warm for NY in March.  The birds are singing, I'll be seeing my baby grandson later and most of all I received an early telephone call this morning letting me know the breast mri I had yesterday was ALL CLEAR!!!  I cannot ask for a better day!
