Karen - that is terrible!!!  I would need TWO zaanax if that happened to me!!!  Farla, that is sad news about that shooting,  I wonder about the desperation that causes people to commit such a horrific act.  I hope all goes well with your dentist, I just had a crown and have to go back for another.  I hate the dentist as well but mine is great so I know it could be worse!!!  Have a great weekend everyone...starting off mine with the PITCH FOR PINK tonight in Clearwater!!!!

Hey guys -
NO ROOT CANAL!!!!  The endodontist was a little difficult - wouldn't let my husband stay (I even tried the big C sympathy card to no avail)  but in the end he examined me - and all I need is a water pik!!!
Whooo hooo!
OK that is my good news, but I did forget to mention, I did have some markers taken by the onc, but I was always negative, so I'm not too worried yet, I'll call next week.

So, Karen?  what's up?  any news?

Have a great (and worry free ) weekend everyone!

Hi Farla,
Good news for you about the root canal !!

As for me, I had a muggoscan and my pet scan yesterday. No news yet, still in
the waiting room. The RN said she was going to try to get my surgeon to look
at them the same day, but no word. I will be calling them on Monday! I always
seem to be waiting and wondering on the weekends. Of course what goes through
my head is that she looked at them and didn't call because she didn't want to ruin
my weekend. LOL I sure hope not. Just glad the machine was up and running this time.
I'll fill you all in when I get my results CROSS YOUR FINGERS. Hope everyone is well
and enjoying there weekend!!!

I will be starting chemo on the 16th, I believe it is TAC 6 rounds once every 3 weeks. Any one else have this type or know about it?

Karen,

I'm sorry you need chemo but it's do able and you'll get through, and have the peace of mind knowing these meds will go through all your body to hopefully ensure no cells remain.

I had these drugs, but on a different regime to you but there's bound to be ladies on the chemo forum with a similar regime.   I think most of us here agree that the a/c is the toughest, while taxol is far easier to tolerate.
Remember to take the anti nausea meds even if you dont need them, and drink lots of water and rest when you need to.
((((hugs))))

Whooo hooo!!!  Congrats Sharon!
BTW, my tumor markers were fine.

I am not sure if this is what this forum is for, but anyway, here goes.....

I remember being in lots of waiting rooms last year, when I was diagnosed for this test and that, etc.  I couldn't stand how somber it all was.  Especially in the hospital, waiting for the bone or cat scan, everyone was naked, cold, with some (brave) family member (or three) with them, all quietly reading so as not to disturb anyone.
I started telling jokes.  I couldn't help myself.

This man thinks he is going blind, so he calls his opthomalogist and makes an appointment.  He goes to the office, waits in the waiting room, and is finally called in.  The doctor looks at him and says "You have to stop masturbating."  "Why?", he says, "Is it making me go blind?"  "No" says the doc, "You are disturbing everyone in the waiting room!"

It broke the tension!

Oh, is Komen administration going to censor me for telling a dirty joke? - Keep it light, everyone!
