Farla...when I asked where the films were she said, "the cancer center"....she is such a professional not to relate "whose fault it was"....My latest films are digital...but the older ones are not.  I guess they like them for comparison.

Thank goodness for computers...so much easier to find things.  We are all sunk if we lose our computers.

Susie, have a great time tomorrow, sounds a Fab. day out and the 40th is such a good excuse,  everything crossed your pain is down to a disk problem and can be sorted without too much hassle.

Marianna,  hoping the time 'til the 26th goes in a blink of an eye and the result is all you wish for, waiting is arghhhhhhhhhh.

Sharon, thinking of you and Mum, you are here on her behalf, that's Great! Good wishes to you both.

Hi Sharonma,  Still waiting!!  Had the MRI and told they'd discuss at my Dr. Appt. on 31st!!  Called doc office and said I just need the results.  All I know so far is rt. breast, lft. breast okay.  suspicious node. Researching everything now and taking survey, lymphectomy or mastectomy?  just wondering if there is a choice, what's the best choice.  Is it normal for chemo/rad/tamo treatment?

OK, Karen - lets have a good mammo!  You better post soon!  B9. B9.....
Mom813 - Maybe you can have your appt moved up a bit?  You seem to maybe be getting ahead of yourself, and that stage where you are getting the facts, but don't have them all yet is the worst.  Don't plan on anything yet.
Marianna - oh, good luck, just a few more days - B9, B9...

I'm with Elaine!  You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Sharon, please let us know about your mom!  I have been away for  bit, not anything as good as vacation, I had my grandsons again and with them and trying to get to work around them, I was pretty beat!  I am having some really bad foot pain so at 59, I am waiting for $580.00 orthotics!  Next I will be wearing my old saddle shoes from High school!  I am going back now to read all the pages I have missed....love to all and here's hoping for B9 results for everyone!!!!

Re:The waiting room!!! - Monday, August 23, 2010 8:01 AM
Susie -sorry to be coming in a bit late on this,  I have pretty much the same symptoms and I was blaming it on the Arimidex. If I sit too long it takes me a while to get on my feet and moving around!   After seeing my podiatrist he believes he can take care of all of this with orthotics in my shoes!  I have these big bumps on the top of my feet and I didn't want to come here and ask if anyone had heard of bone mets to the metatarsals!  I figured you would all laugh me right out of the nwaiting room!  My point is that we still can have NORMAL issues, it is just so hard to remember that...I think our first thought is that it's somehow related to the cancer.  God Bless us all...this is a life sentence no matter how we look at it!!!! How we deal with it, therein lies the rub.....

Re:The waiting room!!! - Monday, August 23, 2010 2:16 PM
Hi Pat,
I am not laughing you out of the room, but I am laughing...I will ask my onc. tomorrow if that is possible(the foot mets)  they can laugh at me all they want, I pay their house, car, yacht, and whatever else they indulge in...My pain is only in one leg (right)  seems to be in the thigh area and feels like it is burning and aching all at the same time and then poof it goes away..My right knee has decided to not bend all the way anymore..all these damn body parts think they can do whatever they want, I call BS on all of them..

I am feeling some anxiety about tomorrow appt. and I know I am not going to know anymore than I do now.  I am going to demand some kind of scan hopefully a pet...What prep do I need for a pet, bone scan, or ct?  I wont eat anything in the morning so maybe they can do it right away..I asked about this possibly being from the aromasin, but they said it is usually not on just one side.  I will let everyone know tomorrow what the latest is.  Thanks ladies.

To everyone waiting in the room with me, I hope all test come out  b9 or NED..

Hugs,

Susie

Susie you have to be on a no carb no sugar diet for at least 24 hours before a PET scan there is no prep for an MRI

I heard from my onc's nurse today.  MY PET looks normal  :)
I call back tomorrow to see if they have the MRI result. So far so good, now what are those lumps?  For now, they are nothing.  shoo.

Marianna - congratulations on your PET scan!!!  No better news than that, I think!!!   I am sending positive thoughts and prayers for the same with your MRI!!!!  Susie...I do, honestly, have the same thing in my right thigh....it sometimes goes numb, or the burning sensation as you say, or pins and needles, I think it all has to do with nerves.  I am anxious to hear your results before I mention it to my doctor.  It happens more if I am at the mall, walking around a lot.  I painted my den and kitchen, with sneakers on, (NO FLIP FLOPS!) and no problems at all!   I know that it could also be a sciatica problem going down from the back, via the nerve into the leg....good luck!!!!!

I am enjoying reading all of your entries!!  I swear that any ache/pain or emotional ups/downs are considered "normal".  I guess that is a good thing?????  (We are discussing some of these on the "transitioning to survivorship" thread under "Returning to Normal" section.

My mammo went well...was read right away by the rad.  Said he would see me in 6 mos.  F/up with onc. is next Monday.  My mammo. office gives carnations to all the patients (donated by a local florist).  The tech picked 3 bunches for me...so I also walked away with a dozen carnations!  Yeah.
