I'm sorry to hear that you have a virus, Tricia, though I'm glad it's not from the hernia. Those gastric symptoms, once they start, can be hard to rein in again. Hopefully, your virus will pass quickly. Don't work too hard this weekend--let the kids do the moving, and you can supervise! xoxo

Re:The waitng room!!! - Thursday, November 20, 2014 9:49 PM
Well I'm in the waiting room tonight.  Tomorrow I have to go in for a D & C plus scope.  Maybe they'll figure out the cause for the bleeding. (of course now it stopped for the time being).  UGG!  I was mad at two of my doctors plus the hospital.  I had my primary sign off on the surgery on Monday and voiced a concern I had about antibiotics for the surgery.  He told me to talk to the doctor performing the surgery.  So that doctor now has a portal where you can email messages.  I emailed Monday night and still hadnt heard from him yesterday.  I called his office to talk to his assistant and she was at lunch.  Left a message and didn't get a call back.  Called today and spoke to her and then the doctor got on the phone.  I talked to him about the antibiotics and then I was given the number to the outpatient surgery center.  Had to go through all the questions and I told them that I was really concerned because no one bothered to tell me if there was meds that I shouldn't take until after the surgery.  I knew enough to stop the aspirin last Saturday but what else.  Found out that if I would have taken my second dose of Metformin today, the surgery would have been cancelled. Good thing I called several times before I spoke to someone.  What if I hadn't been wise enough to stop the aspirin and I was on stronger blood thinners?  Geez!!!  Oh well.  I am going to enjoy what's left of my ice tea.  If it keeps me awake so what.  They are gonna knock me out in the morning.

Have a wonderful night and a happy Friday.

Home from the hospital and feeling pretty crappy. Plan on sleeping the rest of the day.  I remember him saying that he removed either a fibroid tumor or a polyp. What ever it was it was sent to pathology and the report will be back sometime next week. Till then still playing the waiting game.

Thanks for the update Tina, I'm glad you plan on resting for the day and hope you feel much better soon, keeping everything crossed for the path report to be good too, sending (((((hugs))))).

Btw I was told I had fibroids on my womb but they were harmless and didn't need removing, I think he mentioned they knew by the colour but not sure.

I am waiting for Wednesday to find out the game plan for my excision biopsy. I just don't know what to expect except that I am fully trying to be ready. I am trying to be armed with info. From the dx mammogram and the ultrasound it looks like a malignancy. Birad as 4 sub b spiculated, irregular, shadowy, increased blood flow. 1.8 by 1.2 by 1.1

Good luck with your biopsy.  Once you get the results back and the game plan is established, things will calm a little.  The waiting is always the hardest part.

I agree, the waiting is the worst, I had a fine needle biopsy so can't advise on the procedure but you're doing the right thing in having this fully checked, good luck!

Turning for some good thoughts and prayers from my sisters. Went for my mamo today and they found something in the right breast. Did an ultrasound and going in for biopsy tomorrow. I had a bit of a scare 2 yrs ago but I wasn't worried. This has me worried.
It had been a year since my last mamo and I was so happy that I was again on a once a year schedule instead of every 6 months. Now I 2nd guess if this was a good idea. I dunno.. just nervous and scared. I go in for biopsy tomorrow morning. When the doctor came in I told him lets get this done ASAP. UGGG Please cancer ... please I hope you have not reared your ugly head again.

Thanks Tricia,

Had biopsy done. They took 11 samples and aspirated a cyst that is next to it.

I am hoping to get results by Friday.. but I have a feeling it may not be until Monday.

Ya know..I was so excited to be on the 1 yr mamo.... now second guessing that decision. But.. I guess it would not change anything.

Will let you know something when I know.

Aww Grace, sorry you have to worry about this...I'm betting it's not cancer, but something else.  Hope you get results quickly so you can stop worrying.  HATE THIS!

Thank you sisters... results came back.. I have cancer again.. :(
They called me Friday while I was going to the dog show. It is what it is..I will get through it again.

Things are moving fast, I was scheduled to see my Onco on Tues.. but when she got the results she wanted to see me first thing Monday morning. I guess I will know more after the appt. Waiting to get the MRI scheduled, then I guess the surgeon.

I think what I really worry about is that I have the stage 3 liver fibrosis that we are pretty sure was caused by the Tamoxafen. How will I deal with chemo with the liver issues.. or I should say how will my liver deal with it?

So many unanswered questions. I will keep you informed. Thank you all so much.
