Re:Neulasta - Monday, January 09, 2012 1:19 PM
just completed my first round of chemo this past weekend. ...searching for a happy median. luckily no nausea, or bone pain from the nuelasta. but the constipation is driving me crazy. trying to manage a well balanced meal that won't push me too far over the edge one way or the other is proving harder then i thought.....oh well it guess it could be worse........
1 chemo round down.....7 more to go.
Happy new Years every one.

Hi,

Well done on getting the first one done, constipation can be (literally) a pain so be sure to ask your Dr for something to help, stool softners are a good idea too!

Re:Neulasta - Sunday, January 15, 2012 8:30 PM
well I was excited that i finished my last round of chemo on Monday, don't know why but this one has hit me hard, don't know if it was the problems giving it to me (first nurse use a needle to large felt like a rod going through my vein, second nurse tried a smaller one in the same area nothing, so she decided to try by my wrist got the steroids and the 2 bags of nausea meds then the vein blew ouch! so they had to start a new line in the crease of my arm blood was pouring out everywhere good vein, they finally put a syringe on the end of the needle but I was already feeling very light headed) my arm hurts and the numbing is worse in that hand nausea and fatigue are much worse always have the nice red round mark (never had before) there they did chemo. But as least I'm done right. Hopefully just a few days of this.

About wigs.. just wanted to let other women know that they can get a wig for free from the cancer centers.  I paid over $300 for mine, then did not like it when I got home, so it sits in my closet.  There are also a lot of nice, cheap wigs online. I ended up with one for $46 shipped to my door and loved it, and it was wayyy cheaper! I had thick, long, blonde hair and love my cheap wig that looks similar to my real hair. I wish I would have done some research before spending $300.
