Tumor shrinks and grows in another area during chemo?! Is that possible?! - Friday, September 09, 2016 4:06 PM
I was diagnosed in April 2016 and began chemotherapy on May 3, 2016. My tumor was 6 cm and completely went away by week 13. However, week 16 I felt something in another spot and that has continued to grow. Scary! I have surgery next week. They are saying this is highly unusual for the tumor to go away in the original area and come back during chemo in another area. Anyone else have something similar? They said it may be scare tissue/inflammation, but it is super scary!!
