Radiation Anxiety - Thursday, January 26, 2006 8:47 PM
I had my first consultation with the radiology oncologist tuesday. He seems ok, answered all my questions and took lots of time with me. He said they will do a CT scan to help plan the radiation. He also said I will have a small area of my lung pemanently damaged due to the way they have to radiate (he said most people never notice it, even it they are exercising). He also said because I had chemo, I will probably have more fatigue than someone who didn't have chemo.

I have my last taxol treatment on the 1st, and I think I am more afraid of radiation than I was of chemo.

The doctors all act like all the treatments are no big deal, so I don't have alot of faith in any of them. He said very few of his patients get burns.

Anybody have any advice? What can I expect? Is it easier than chemo?
