Happy Birthday Elaine !!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Was quiet here in N Florida.. hubby was sick so I went with Michael and his GF to her families dinner. It was very nice and I enjoyed visiting with her mom and got to see the new baby that he sister had. So beautiful. I sometimes wonder if I will ever be a Gma !! Maybe someday.

The weather has been fabulous, a couple of very cool evenings but yesterday and today in the low 70s with very little himidity

If any of you are in the Orlando/central Fl area.. come over to the Eukanuba dog show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Over 4000 dogs will be there, conformation, obedience, agility, dock diving... meet the breeds booths for all the breeds. I am showing on Fri.. then helping in the booth on Sat and Sun.  Oh..and lots of venders for those really special doggie things !!

Love you all,
Grace

Howdy!  It's been three weeks since my outpatient surgery and just got the path report back (had a d & c to try to find out cause of continued heavy bleeding).  During surgery they found either a uterine polyp or fibroid tumor.  He told me that he saw it when he did the scope and removed it.  Wasn't sure what it was but as he said "either way it's in the lab".  Results are back:  polyp and everything is normal.  That was probably the cause of the issues.  In addition, the results from the Myriad My Risk test came back.  Everything was negative.  Yippee!  So of these 20 some odd genes it tested everything was fine.   Don't have to go back to him for a year unless there continues to be issues.

Still trying to figure out what is happening with the Vitamin D levels.  Went from 28 to 66 now. Was low before and now it's high but that has to do with the horse pill he had me taking once a week.  Now he changed that to once every 10 days.  Hopefully I'll remember to take it. Sugar improved as well.  Retesting in three months.

Hi - Sorry I've been MIA. I can only get on to the site through my computer at work. Haven't figured out why. I hope you are celebrating the New Year and I wish us all a very healthy 2015! Hug Elaine

I loved the silence of the snowfall. It is so pretty when it first covers the ground. I enjoyed listening to my son and his friends during their band practice.

Re:Daily Diary of Joy - Tuesday, April 07, 2015 4:28 PM
Hi girls !!

Well as you all prob read from my post a couple of weeks ago.. cancer has decided to invade my life once more. I am handling it well, surgery is scheduled for the 16th. Hopefully radiation only this time but we are not 100% yet.

I have to share how wonderful my dog show "family" is. My friend was the show chair at this past weekend show. Hubby hauled our travel trailer down on Thurs evening and my friend had hers set up. We make a nice little yard in the middle, set up pens for the dogs etc.

On Sat morning I woke up, looked outside the camper and saw stuff on my golf cart. I thought it had been toilet papered.. LOL  it was pink streamers all over it. Then I found out that everyone .. and I mean everyone was wearing pink for the Sat show. The show had almost 700 entries, there were hundreds of handlers, my friends, judges, stewards etc... I would venture to say 75%-80% was wearing pink. I was so overwhelmed most of the day. To have complete strangers come up and hug you and tell you they care and will keep me in thier prayers.. and then my friends doing the same and offering thier help when I have surgery. It was amazing. Anne said she started with the clubs her and I belong to, then it went to judges and to handlers.. to so many that thought enough to send the message that people really do care.

Another very nice thing that happened last week. We needed tires for one of our trucks. Our friend has a garage that specializes in 4x4 trucks. A client of his was selling 4 almost brand new tires. Things are pretty tight right now so my husband offered a trade of one of his guns for the tires. Well, when he got there, the guy wouldn't take the gun and gave us the tires. Our friend had told him what we were going through. There are angels in this world..
My husband and I have always tried to help those in need however we could. We have been so concerned about funds for everything and to have something like this happen is again.. amazing. I know we will pay it forward in the future again.

I hope all of you are doing well. I will keep the updates coming.
Thank you for being here for me.

Grace

Grace--

It is truly a wonderful thing when friends help.  It amazes me the kindness of strangers as well.  What a wonderful thing that people have done for you.  Good luck with your surgery.

Oh Grace how wonderful and I can imagine how touched you were by the whole thing.  As you say you've always helped those in the past that you could and I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around so the help you received was obviously well deserved.  Good luck for the surgery, we'll be thinking of you.Pals
