My Friday joy of the day was babysitting for my 9 week old grandson while my daughter and son-in-law went out to dinner.  My husband and I just loved doing it!

Toni = I hear ya!  I once shoved some money into my stepdaughter's hand and said "go to a movie" so that I could babysit my new granddaughter.  That baby is now 14!

Her kids are 14 and 12, and my daughter's are 13, 8, and 5.  I'm crazy about all of them.

Hug,
Elaine

Elaine,

I just cannot get enough of my little grandson,  Declan, who will be 10 weeks on Sunday.  It is just indescribable how this little guy just warms my heart and makes me feel so happy by just looking and holding him!!  It's just crazy!

Sharon:  I'm jealous of your visit with Tricia.  I hope to do the same thing one day :)

Toni:  I will be NYC beginning of June - maybe we can hook up.  PM me if it's possible.

My joy today is that I went to the gym (always the first measure of my joy).... my 5 year old grandson called to IChat me, I'm on my way to the Farmers Market, and I can't wait for the Academy Awards.  Haven't missed one since I was 15!  I love them, no matter how bad they are ;)

Have a great day everyone.
Hug,
Elaine

My joy of the day is anticipating taking my son to his floor hockey semi-final game - the first time in memory that the team has made it this far. Actually I think they won their first game EVER this year. I am now strong enough (physically and mentally) to attend!

Ladies!

My joy today was being told my mammo on my 'good' breast was all clear!  Followed by lunch with my cousin, followed by a massage, followed by a dinner with one of my best friends!!  Living in the moment -- and the moment is perfect!

My joy was just quietly celebrating March 6 as the forth year of diagnosis. Today I got in the car -the roads were clear, no snow, beautiful sun and just drove.  It felt so freeing because I did not feel the tension of the last few years. Never thought it would get any better. It was a good day

Sunshine in March and 50 degrees here in Michigan.  Knowing that warm weather is just around the corner!  Seeing what snow we have is what's left at the edge of the parking lots and along side of the road or on the shady sides of buildings.  Sending in my golf league registration after missing out last year.  Having a new partner for league, my daughter Nina.  Knowing I've had my last Mugga test.  Only 4 more Herceptin treatments (two more than I had thought but oh well!)  Going to get the mail downtown and not needing my coat or my gloves!!

What a great thread !!

I am happy today. As I think over my last year, my life is not so bad even with the bumps in the road. Today is my 2nd day back to work full time. I am happy to see all my co workers again and be part of the team.

I am thrilled that both my son's are back on US soil from Iraq and Afghanistan and that my oldest is just a few hours away from me now. My youngest will be back in the lower 48 soon (he is stationed in Alaska) and then I will REALLY be happy !!

I've had a lot to feel joyous about this past week and not just today so need to condense it all together.

I had Sharon stay with us last week which was amazing, we had never met but felt like we had known each other for years and had a wonderful time:)

I spent Sunday and today out with my daughter's, two really fantastic days and I'm grateful they are as much friends to me as daughter's:)  xx

I burried my nose in the  neck of my 6 month old niece.  There is NOTHING like the sweet smell of a baby's neck.   And the coo's and giggles... If the world could be filled with babies, puppies and kittens...mmmmm

I felt today that spring is right around the corner. I went out to the yard, and straightened out a bit, and bought some seeds. A day without a down coat is a beautiful thing.
