Thank you all !!!

Had the mamo and ultra sound on both breast... CLEAR !!!!!!  Whooo hoooo I am so happy !!!!
The mamo tech was wonderful. She felt bad having to put me through the squash on my left side, but I told her.. after all I have been through. I can deal with a little pain.  :)
I almost feel like the results today have given me a little bit more of my life back. Even though I still have a few herceptin infusions left and the tamoxafin, it just seems like I have won a war and hoping never to be "deployed" again.
WTG Pat... just Sharon left to go?

Grace,

I couldn't be happier for you.  I always say this isn't anything better for each of us than to have an "all clear" on any test we get.  Congrats!!

Not to worry Sisters,
I had the US last week, and although things aren't much different than the last one 6 months ago (15mm thick lining, giant fibriods), I've been having some spotting.  I haven't had a real period since going on the tamox, eighteen months ago, so any bleeding at all needs to be checked, and am pretty sure I'll have another endometrial bx.  But not for a few weeks.
Still fighting having the total hyst...NO MORE CUTTING!  (unless I absolutely have to).  So I'm not going to worry about it for now,and I so appreciate your care and comforting words, and will come back to the WR in a few weeks.
Again, this is a great idea to keep track of each other and the tests we are having
Sharon.

Re:The waitng room!!! - Thursday, June 10, 2010 10:09 PM
I spent some time in the waiting room yesterday.  Went and had my chest xray, labs and  check up with my oncologist.  Took a book along to read for awhile and looked in the gift shop for awhile.  Labs and xray good and she found NO lumps (Yeah) so will go back in  6 months.  It has been 3  1/2 years since surgery.
I had kind of a nasty bug bite on my arm (node removal side)  I was just a little concerned about but she  said to just watch it.  It is slowly getting better.  I had hip tendon repair in Nov 2009 and just saw that doctor about 2 weeks ago.  I told them my other hip is starting to hurt now too and I am having more trouble getting comfortable to sleep. I toss and turn most nights and have to go to my back for them not to hurt.  I did mention the  pains to the onc and that the ortho doc said to get an MRI if it  gets worse.  She didn't   mention doing anything.  So, I said to her that if it keeps up  I would ask my primary doctor to maybe order the MRI and my onc agreed.  It may be just some worsening  bursitis or early stage tears of the ligaments.  I don't think I could get my head around having  surgery again yet but we'll see.

Oh, Grace, that is wonderful!  Isn't that the best feeling in the world!  You just want to jump up and down like a little kid!!!    Sharon, sending lots of HUGS your way...I wish I could get up there this summer!  It is hard to believe it has been almost a year!  Rose, I have the same issues with my back, all symptoms of the Arimidex but every new pain brings its worries, doesn't it?  Thanks for "waiting" with me...who is coming in next?

Re:The waitng room!!! - Saturday, June 12, 2010 11:55 AM

Sure wish I had found this thread last week.  Would have saved a "blow up", maybe not, at my husband.  My PCP has had my thyroid checked every six months for the past 2 1/2 half years.  A biopsy was ordered for yesterday.  I had a week to visualize them saying the "c" word.  I heard the "c" word five years ago and never lost my cool during the whole process.  Not once.  This little thyroid biopsy threw me for a loop.  My husband made a couple remarks about potatoes that blew up in the oven and I just came unglued.  I used words like a sailor uses and then just burst out bawling.  I had to give up my aspirin for 5 days for fear of bleeding so the pain I have from the Arimidex (sp) was getting out of hand.  IF I ever have to have more biopsies I will ask what I can take for pain.  Of course, maybe I will be done with the Arimidex and the pain will subside.  Let's hope.

The biopsy turned out just fine.  It was a cyst.  I have many of them on my thyroid.  Why didn't the docs use the word "cyst".  It would have saved me a lot of stress.

Thanks for letting me in the waiting room even if my waiting is over.

Wow, Grace, isn't it a relief?  So happy for you.
Sharonma, wait, I'm confused, maybe my chemo brain is just used to bc, and bc only.  You had pelvic us?  And it is the same?  OK, is that good?  If it is, then I'm glad.  But often, I'm just confused.
Rose, I hope your hip is nothing - just something stupid like a bad mattress.  Really, we've been through a lot.  But, if you need to go for that MRI, we'll be praying for you.  Good luck
Nancy - we've all exploded over nonsense.  We're under a lot of stress here, and sometimes it just comes out in ways we don't expect.  It is normal, don't worry. I'm also glad that it was just cysts.
