I am sending you all positive thoughts and prayers!  Tricia, they dont tell you right away?  The one good thing about all of this...I have a digital mammpgram and the person doing it shows me the pictures right away and then takes them to the radiologist.  I go back to the waiting room and then they come and tell me the final word.  I was doubly lucky this time becasue they also had the MRI report!  Wishing you al lthe best....

Thanks Elaine and Pat:)

Pat, no the usual wait for us is a week but as I have an appt with my onc they're sending them straight to her.

A few years ago here some women were misdiagnosed so since then the radiologist sends them to be typed up and double checked before releasing any result to the patient.

I could have had them a little sooner by seeing another Dr in a different hospital but prefer to wait and see my onc in my usual place:)

Hi ~ I posted this on the Stage IV but will post here too.....

Whew!! Good News.....found out my PET/CT results today and it is very good news, even better than last scan in Jan.....we are sooo relieved. The spot on my liver that was still noticeable in the Jan scan is even smaller and there is no hypermetabolic activity in the liver or any of my lymph nodes, YAY. My regular onc was on vacation so I just got the news and advised to continue with my current treatment until I see my regular onc in 3 weeks. I am tolerating my current tx of Avastin/Xeloda so hopefully I can stay on this to keep this at bay. I started tx for mets a year ago this week and I don't think my onc thought I would ever get this good of results.

Feels so good to tell people good news for a change.

Thank you all for the good wishes,
ox gail

Hi Tricia--Is there no way that you could get them to read your mammogram right away?    At my breast care center they give readings immediately to women who have a history of bc.
