Thank you, ladies! Jean, you made me laugh. The radiologist told me that she sees this a lot. Apparently, for some unknown reason, some women develop pockets of fat in the armpit. She said that she has one patient with one the size of an orange! Can you imagine how uncomfortable that would be? But, I suppose, you can live with just about anything as long as it's benign. As I get older, I get more and more weird, but thankfully benign, pockets of fluid, fat and goodness knows what else!

Also, if anyone here lives in the Monterey, CA area and doesn't know about the Breast Center, I just want to say what a wonderful place it is. They are so sensitive to women's concerns and never rush you in and out the door. Both the radiologist and the tech were so kind and patient--and they even laughed at my lame jokes!

By the way--Jean, whatever happened with your plans to visit the Central Coast?

Rena, we are staying from Sept. 23rd to Oct. 8th.  First week we have rented a house in Napa Valley.  From there we will tour out to see Monteray, Carmel, (Pebble Beach so my husband can touch the grass and get his picture taken with it in the background), SanFransico and Wine Country.  Week two we will be driving up the Northern Coast to Ferndale, Redwood National Forest, glass beaches and staying a couple days at the Requa Inn near Crescent City.  Then travel back down and spend two nights and days at Yosemite before circling back to SF to eat our farewell dinner at the Cliff House!  So, our plans are coming together better than I could hope for.  This is my celebration vacation.  It's all about celebrating life those two weeks!

Sounds great, Jean, and that's the nicest time of year weather-wise. Let me know if you'd like suggestions for the Monterey/Carmel area.

I can't believe I am here.  I have had rib pain for some time now.  Had an x-ray and there is some type of lesion.  CT scheduled for next week.  Getting a little concerned.  I know it can be anything from nothing to radiation damage to mets.  It's going to be a long weekend! :(

Beachgal, I'm so sorry that you have to wait and wonder all weekend. Just hold on to the thought that this well could be benign radiation damage or some sort of bruise you sustained. I'm thinking good thoughts for you. Rena
