Thanks Farla, and I'm sorry you find yourself in the waiting room too but agree, it's probably an irritating side effect of surgery than anything serious.
It's always a good idea to have it checked though, so sending you B9 vibes and wishes and keep us posted! :)

Hey Farla, best to get it checked out, but I'm sure it will be nothing serious.  I know how easily we can worry about the littlest thing

Just the update - My doc canceled the day of appointments - I hope she is OK, so I will have to reschedule, maybe I will go to my onc, and not the surgeon.  I basically fell fine, just worried about everything.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts, everyone!

Hi Farla,
Sorry you have to wait to get an answer.  The waiting is sooo stressful.  Once she gets back, she'll be bogged down with appointments.  Can you see whoever is taking call for her?

Back from the hospital yesterday afternoon and slep the rest of the day away.  The doc told DH that I had a "typical tamoxifen uterus", but found an unexpected cyst.  Said she would  have the path results on Friday and will call me.  Keeping fingers(and legs too, lol) crossed.

No worries Sharonma -- it'll be benign!

I love the phraseology "typical tamoxifen uterus".... really??  I'm going to start a list of favorite medical phrases.  So far, I personally have, Senile Purpura (purple bruises on arm), an Incompetent Cervix and if  didn't use the Est-ring, I would have "Vaginal Atrophy" .....  soooo pleasant sounding, don't ya think???

OK....I'll bite - what exactly does a "typical tamoxifen uterus"  look like?   And I am betting this cyst is just a fibroid or something...we all got 'em!!!!  Looking forward to this being behind you, girlfriend!!!!!Pals

I'm thinking it's big n ugly. lol  I'll get the results from the path on Friday, but won't see her for three weeks  (scheduled the mammo, breast surgeon and gyn follow up all for the same day)  Then I'll have that bottle of wine  all ready for when I get home.
Typical tamoxifen uterus..... where do they come up with this $hit?
