Tricia, sorry for the dealy in answering you.  I think very few people still iron, I know my MIL doesn't even have an iron or ironing board anymore!  I remember when I was little, my mom used to iron everything, from dish towels and pillow cases to my dad's handkerchiefs!!!  Strange when I think of that.....

Here is one that has been one of my (our) favorites for a long time.  I played it once during the time I was going thru chemo & cried like a baby! My hubby just held me and cried with me.

While driving to pick up my granddaughter to spend the weekend I had my favorite Country Western Station on.  Martina McBride has a new song out, "Gonna Love you Through This".  It is a song about a 38 year old woman who gets the call that her biopsy came back positive and then the emotions of the surgery (taking more than tissue than they thought), worry about her 3 kids, wearing baggy shirts, etc--but the theme was her husband's unconditional love.  It really drew my focus as I listened to it. Wondering if anyone knows if she wrote it in general or if this is dedicated to a friend of hers.

This is a very powerful song!!!

Written and performed by a survivor. I love her t-shirt "Hell yes they're fake, the real ones nearly killed me!"

Train- Drops of Jupiter     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIedV25gfpY

My son Harrison introduced this to me... he listens to it a lot, it reminds him of his sister, Joanna... It reminds me of her too.

This song was written after the passing of Pat Monahan's Mother, the story behind the lyrics... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHor4VN8090&feature=related

This morning I dedicate this to "Cheyenne" a character from FIVE, I dedicate this to every Warrior Woman who was not able to slay the deadly  beast...

Peace,
Anna Rae

Sharon, when my grandson was little this was his favorite song!!!!  He used to walk around singing it, and it was so cute, you know, when they sing what they think the words are...
I will be thinking of Carla today and ALL weekend...she walks for us!!!!

I love this idea. Thanks for the songs. I heard this song not long after being diagnosed. As women, we are always so strong. I'm still strong but I know that God will carry me also.
