LCIS - Thursday, June 02, 2016 2:36 PM
I was just recently diagnosed with LCIS.  Trying to reduce my risk of Breast Cancer and all the things to do.  Yes, I am overweight and going one day at a time to eat better and exercise.
Do you know how this happened?  Are you born with this?  Does this come from bad eating habits?  Did I get this because I didn't have any babies?  So no breastfeeding.
Thanks for helping!

Hi Gidget,

I can confidently answer a big No to all your questions, it's nothing as simple as one thing sadly and if it was we'd understand it a lot better by now. There are things of course that everyone can do to help remain healthy which we're all aware of and is common sense, but no one knows what causes cancer just yet so don't feel you developed LCIS from anything you've already mentioned!  This link may help too http://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms/types/lcis
